Solidarity network for survivors of right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence
The solidarity network is a nationwide association of currently around 25 self-organised survivors’ initiatives. The network is made up of survivors of and those affected by right-wing, racist and anti-Semitic violence who strengthen each other, make their experiences visible and fight together for justice. For decades, those affected have been campaigning for remembrance, reappraisal and political change – the network builds on these struggles and connects them. These many years of experience and struggles have given rise to a nationwide solidarity network in 2022, in which around 25 initiatives of those affected are currently organised. The focus is on exchanging ideas on an equal footing, mutual support and the joint organisation of commemorative, educational and public relations work. The network creates a safe space for those affected to share their experiences and pool political demands.
It provides a framework for mutual support, political dialogue and collective remembrance. The initiatives involved are committed to the consistent processing of right-wing violence, a comprehensive reform of survivor protection and self-determined forms of remembrance. They call for the perspectives and experiences of those affected to be recognised socially and politically. They are also committed to anti-racist and anti-Semitism-critical educational work and offer workshops.
To differentiate between the network and SVEB:
The solidarity network is an independent, grassroots structure of initiatives for those affected. Eleven initiatives receive organisational support from the Amadeu Antonio Foundation as part of the SVEB model project. The project supports and promotes, but does not replace, the work of the network itself. The network can be contacted by email.
