Afrikanischer Kulturverein Palanca e.V.

Eberswalde

The African Cultural Association Palanca e.V. strengthens social cohesion and the participation of people through its diverse range of counseling and meeting opportunities. On the one hand, the association is a place of remembrance for the time of contract workers in the former GDR, and on the other hand, it serves as a memorial to the murder of Amadeu Antonio. Augusto Jone Munjunga, a friend and colleague of Amadeu Antonio, has been working with Palanca e.V. since 1997 to promote respectful togetherness and intercultural exchange.

Goals and tasks:

Our aim is to break down prejudices and strengthen a democratic society through intercultural and interreligious dialogue. Through our diverse projects (housing project, trust through encounter, women’s empowerment) and offerings, we have been able to see clearly and sustainably that education, awareness, and understanding for one another can and will bring more and more different cultures together.
